That temp is amazing, your house must be cold, or is it a case with a wind tunnel type of setup?

Wind tunnel out the back. That's how the 9500 is designed to work.
It is a bit brisk, but not less than 70 or so. Open case, ATM, also.

I got one for my E6600, i've got all the parts for my pc except the motherboard which i'm still waiting for to come into stock. Dammit i want my conroe system!

Well, seeing as 70F inside the house is warmer than 20C for your processor, (20*18+32=68) I really dont see how its possible.

Now, dont get me wrong, the Zalman 9500 is an amazing heatsink, I owned one beofre i went water cooled, but it just isnt THAT good.

when it's winter my house is kept at 64ºF, it's cold, but anyway very nice temps.

check the bios, to see what its running at idle, the program your using could be telling u wrong. would be real nice, the amount of overclocking that could be done.

If it's not completely accurate, it's close. The heatsink barely warms up at all. And YES, I'm sure it's making contact. I can slide it around a little and feel the AS5.
