So i was wondering if this was a good build, I think it's relatively cheap considering the parts (it also sits right on my budget), the case and hard drive are a combo deal, as are the processor and GPU. is it any good? any better/more cost-effective parts? thanks.

build is looking good. you got a os allready? some say you might not "need" a GTX280 but if you can afford it why not get it. to cut cash you might want to get a gtx 260 core 216

get the regular gtx 280 and just overclock it, no use getting the pre oc'ed one, although idk if it be cheaper cuz ur getting a combo deal. also like said above a gtx 260 216 is just about as good as a 280. might look at the 4870 1gb too.

id recommend a different case:
antec 300
cooler master 590
cooler master 690

other then that looks good
