Default xt1800xt - 7900GT

Anyone point me in the direction of benchmarks/reviews comparing the XT1800XT to the 7900GT?

the 7900 GT is a better card
the 7800 GTX is about equal to the X1800 XT

I think you want to compare the 7900GT with the x1900xt that will be close.

yes that's a closer comparision. I think the X1900 is about equal to the 7900 GT, with the 7900 GTX being the best card out so far.

at MSY the 7900 GTX is less expensive too, but I'm not sure if it's the same in the US

http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/...ce/default.asp

the X1900 XT wins in FEAR, BF2 and COD2
3dmark06 is a bit of a tie
the other games the 7900 GTX wins

The 7900GT will obviously beat the X1800XT in most scenerios as it's more recent technology, however the X1800XT's are very solid and are typically cheaper than the 7900GT's.

in all they new benches they show the 512 mb ram x1800xt, i guess that could be a bit of an advantage, keeping it neck and neck with the 7900gt
