Xmas coming / itchy pocket syndrome

With xmas a few weeks down the road and a gaggle of great games coming out soon I'm thinking of upgrading my computer to get a better performance. And to make matters worse my warranty ran out a few months ago and somethings going wrong (pixilated graphic display and freezing up but thats not what I'm here to discuss). My specs are...

WinXP pro
IntelCore2 Duo E6850 @3Ghz
Coolermaster Liquid Cooling
Asus P5N-E 650i
2GB DDR2 Corsair XMS2 Xtreme memory
Hiper 630w type M SLI ready power supply
NVidia GForce 880GTX 768MB PCI card

Sata II 3gb/s 16mb cache 7200rpm

Any thoughts on my next purchase/purchases ?

I think you should solve your pixilated graphic display and freezing, could be overheating, before buying the new GPU. It can be the cpu and buying a new GPU won't solve the problem. I would start by checking the temps.
