Default X800GTO AGP card?

Hey guys,
What would card would anyone rekon that I should get for about $250AUD - $300 MAX. I need an AGP card only, please don't ask why. It will be going on my current system (in my sig) but soon with be upgraded to a Intel Core Duo 2 E6400 with an Asrock DualVSTA motherboard.
I need something that wont bottleneck my system and will be able to play on Bf2, bf2142, FEAR mainly mostly on medium - high settings if possible.

I was thinking a X800GTO, but I dunno, ive heard good reviews about them but just wondering what anyone else out there has to say.

how much do you want to spend?

the X800 GTO is good.

the best AGP card now is the 7800 GS

$250 - 300 AUD.... does the 7800GS blow the X800GTO out of the water?

prices for 7800 GS (AGP)
http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=7800+gs

prices for X800 GTO (AGP)
http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/sear...q=x800+gto+agp

the 7800 GS is probabbly out of your money range. but the 7600 GT is a good card for the price. it will outperform the X800 GTO, and can be found for a bit under $300

Hmm yeh 7800GS is outta the question im afraid, looking at the specs, the X800GTO should beat the 7600GT...
Well im going to place my order for the X800GTO, just having a look on http://www.gpureview.com it says that there are 12 fragment pipelines, 12 texture units and 12 Raster operations. However next to all of them it has a (16), does this mean you can unlock it to 16 pipelines? If so how do you do that?

7600GT Performs as good as X850xt, so it will beat X800GTO. Also, 7600GT supports SM3.0, and it is more overclockable.

specs doesn't matter because the 6800GT or 6800ultra has better specs than 7600GT, but in benchmarks the 7600GT can beat both of them.

the 7600's architecture is better, and it's clocked higher

That's heaps weird then... hmm so the 7600GT ay... how would it run on bf2? would you be able to play on high settings without any lag at 1024x760?
