Default X800 XL.... Which one?

Alright, i want to upgrade my video card and want to stick with ATI since it came with an ATI onboard video graphics. I heard that it is a pain to remove all the drivers and I decided just to stick with ATI. I know most of you guys say go with an NVIDIA but this is what I want. So if any of you guys know which of the ones I have narrowed it down to is the best please help me decide. This will be PCI-express and all are pretty close in price.

I dunno... Call me cheap, but I'd get the X1600 when it is released. I don't think it's out anyway... It's going to be affordable, and kinda on par with a 6600GT or 6800vanilla.

X800 series sucks. Actually, the word "sucks" is an understatement. Do not get any X800 series cards. If you get it, you will strongly regret it. If you want ATI, stick with the X1800XL or X1600 as somebody mentioned earlier. Or go with Nvidia. It isn't hard to do if you have a good driver cleaner like Driver Cleaner Pro.

Totally agreed. I'm serious, don't you dare get ATI. I did it, and it was a big mistake. Believe me if you get an ATI card such as the x800 or x850, YOU WILL SEVERELY REGRET IT!!! I am not an Nvidia fanboy because i have an ATI card right now and i can tell you that it will be the worst decision you will ever make in your life if you decide to get any of those cards you listed. I've actually brought my pc over to my friends house, he has a 6800GT and all i could think was WOW. The difference in every aspect of the games we played such as Far Cry, F.E.A.R, CS:S, and Doom 3 were incredible. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY OF THOSE CARD YOU LISTED. I'm just trying to rescue as many people as i can from buying a product and not being satisfied with it. And btw, my friend had an ATI chipset with an ATI Radeon Xpress integrated graphics and he installed a new Nvidia card very easily so don't let that steer you away from Nvidia Cards.

The X700 Pro is meant to compete with the 6600gt... but anyway yes the x800 series sucks and you should either get a 6800gt or an x1800 series card.

if you dont take into consideration that they cost way to much and dont support sm3, then no, they don't suck. the x1k series is a huge improvement over the x800 series.
