do all the x2 3800+ dual cores have the cool'n quiet or is it an add on? i'm about to get mine in the mail...

nothing wrong with cool and quiet, it can very easily be turned off

Does it really matter?

You can just turn it off.

cool n' quiet is a good thing unless you are overclocking. it only downclocks while your pc does not need the power, if you require more power it almost instantaneously adjusts (think the poll rate is something like 60hz i.e. it can change between normal speed and cool n' quiet speed 60 times per second as needed)

Nothing wrong with running Cool n Quiet on an office machine. Hard core gaming and I would sumpp it!
