X2 3800+ compatability

Is it true that the X2 3800+ won't work with an ASUS A8N-SLI premium. I checked out their website and it said it will work fine. But I'm hearing rumors that it won't. Can any of u guys clear this up for me?

well DFI UT ultra-d boards only need a bios update so im assuming it would be the same for other boards but prolly not.....
