hey this is the wrong section i know but i need a quick answer:

why aren't my clickable text links working here on tech forums?

this is the format i use:
<a> href="http://www.----------.com/">-----</a>
with the ----- being website and what appears in the text, respectively.
i have tried it with and without the forward slash that follows .com

help quick please. mods can move this post as neccesary if/when i get and answer.
if i was a mod, i could move it myself....;)

*EDIT* Well, woot.com didn't make a link, but when I added the "http:// www." it parsed just fine. Try using either the whole address (just paste it and let the forum parse it) or use BBCode ([ url ][ /url ], or [ url=xxxxx ].....[ /url ]). */EDIT*

Lol>>>>tell Me How You Did It Lol

arrrrgh i just did it like 3 days ago!

<a href= "http://www.newegg.com/">newegg</a>

<a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124085">router</a>

shouldnt this be working?????
and have a clickable link that says "router"?

Router

Like that? I used the BBCode tags. If you use Firefox, grab the BBCode Xtra extension and have all your BBCode tags available on right-click. Includes HTML tags, too.
