Putting in a E8400 and planning to OC

but eventually ill upgrade to quad core once they are more affordable/ well performing.

Ive already done all my research and yes the E8400 is the one for me

maybe my last question would this work well with the E8400 or would there be a better motherboard.

If it costs signifigantly more its out of the question

So maybe a cheaper and better alternative ?

e8500 is 20 bucks more and will likely overclock substanitally higher. take vern's suggestion and get the biostar. use the 25 bucks difference to get an e8500 .

agreed on the mobo, but i was just keep the e8400, the 8500 it just same but clocked .16mhz higher isnt it?

it has a 9.5x multiplier instead of 9x. not worth much, but definitely worth 20 bucks.
