Question which would be the best windows for a customized PC?

i am currently working in a gaming computer. i want to be a fast PC therefore i am putting a descent amount of money, now which windows will work do the job?

You can grab Vista Home premium which is the best retail version out for your purposes and it also comes with a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out so that is probably your best bet.

You would also want to use a 64bit version. Since you are spending a fair amount of money on this build I would assume you will have more than 3gb of memory and will need 64bit to use it all.

win7 rc is free for a year and is a great option as well.

For retail versions Pinscher is correct that Vista Home premium is the best.

The RC will last until march next year, it will start shutting down every two hours apparently, although im sure their will be a workaround some will create quite easily your better off buying the vista now and upgrading for free imo.
