Seriously, some people do not know what they are talking about, no offence.
Yes it is worth it, especially if you REALLY want to go bang on the buck.

If you want good cooling setup's, Go Corsair. Trust me, Corsair. Best brand for the buck.

Oh yea? Then you already know he has an H100i right now, correct?

This guy already has a top end i7, it is not worth the 500+ dollars to go with X99 and a 6 core unless he has the work load for it. Since he avoided that question and instead went straight into the delid discussion it makes that a moot point. It sounds like the guy is just bored and wants to tinker with things. Read the thread before posting.

got my h240x today very happy with it
much much quieter then the h100i and temps seemed to drop as well
and it looks fantastic.
