Worth the Upgrade??????

I have a Socket 754 PCI-e ASUS Board with a AMD64 3400+ 2.4Ghz Newcastle Core CPU presently, would an upgrade to an AMD64 DUAL CORE (X2) 4600+ 2.4Ghz (939)/Board be a good idea?

Well, I would say so, I went from single to dual and I can guarentee you I will never go back =)

Do you plan on using the parts fro your old build... HHD, DVD/CD Dirves, PSU, etc?? if you are then cool, but get this one... 1MB L2 cache... WORTH the money...

Yea i think it will defineatly be a good idea. It will improve the performance of your computer by far and you will be able to upgrade it for the future. If i was in the same position as you and had the money, i would defineatly do it.

LoL, I did not get the dual-core for the future, I got it for the now, my computer has so many processes running, EVEREST, Nortan, ect that if it was single-core I would be lucky to play a game, as it is now I can encode DVD's, download games, and play video games *shrug* works for me.
