It truely is a beast of a machine, the guy is there to make some cash so its more expensive that making it yourself. However also consider the time it would take to assemble and do the OS install. couple of hours work there.

I would build myself however, depends on how much cash you have and how compitent you feel;.

yea of course the price is a lil more then building it, but like you said its the labor, would you pay the the extra on building it (still have to total how much it would take to build it so it can be compared) plus its professionally overclocked. something to think about.

ok people, I did the math. I went on eBay and compared the prices of each part. and the results on are.

CPU = $575
Video Card = $575
Mobo = $150
Mem = $200
HDD = $328
Fan = $70
DVD Burner = $75
Case = $110
OS = $150
Power Sup. = $110

Total = $2348

Difference of only $147 (which we will add to the labor cost)

hmm something to consider, some feedback would be much appreciated.

First of all, you have to remember that buying hardware on eBay carries an inherent risk. Second, you looked up the parts on eBay, obviously. Here's the parts from Newegg:

CPU = $506 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103584
Video Card = $509 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150142
Motherboard = $113 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136152
RAM = $200 Item not on Newegg so I'll just stick with the price you put.
HDD = $285 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136014
HSF = $59 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118223
DVD Burner = $40 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106013
Case = $? Put the case you want here.
OS = $135 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16837102062
PSU = $100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103932

Do the math yourself. You'll be saving a good bit of money there :p.

ok thats true the parts are cheaper on New Egg because I did the research last night but thanks to nathen for looking into it as well, but what do you people think about the computer itself, I might use that setup to build the computer. Does anyone have any sugestions as to what they would make different or add to the desktop to improve it or is it just fine the way it is.
