Wondering if this laptop is a good buy.

I'm looking for a new laptop since my old one got destroyed. I don't know much about computer specs and whatnot, but I found this one and thought it looked pretty good. My budget doesn't go much higher, and I'll mostly be using it for school work, movie streaming and maybe some light gaming. Can someone confirm that this would be a good buy?

Negative. The hardware itself is decent, but I wouldn't buy an Acer laptop unless you paid me.
