If I'm getting a Phenom II x4 965 3.4gig and 6 gigs of memory and i'm running it on Windows XP 32bit. Will i get the 3.4gigs from my processor and the 6 gigs from my memory?

the cpu's GHz speed is not ram. that is how fast the processor operates. the RAM (memory) is what you should be conserned with. you have 6GB which will not be recgonized by XP 32 bit. you need a 64 bit OS to use all 6GB of ram.

i personally recommend windows 7 64 bit when it comes out.

As Phil stated, CPU speed and RAM are different. GHz=Gigahertz which is a measurement of frequency. And +1 to getting Windows 7 x64 when it comes out. It's a waste to use 6GB RAM in XP 32, because you would only be using ~1/2 of it.
