Default Will this Setup Work?

Hey, I'm building a computer starting soon and I wanted to know if this setup would work out:

Case: Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Black Steel + Plastic and Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Hard Drive: Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Power Supply: Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V v2.2 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

Motherboard: Okay, here's where I had a question. This motherboard looked like it would do well for me: Newegg.com - ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard but some of the reviews are a little iffy, and I'm sure there is one out there just as good for around the same price, but I don't know where to start.

RAM: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8

Processor: Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K

Video Card: Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5 GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Drive: Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 4X BD-ROM 8X DVD-ROM 32X CD-ROM SATA Internal 4X Blu-ray Reader Model iHOS104-06 - Blu-Ray Drives

Basically what I want to know is, will this setup work, fit into the case, and work in the case, AND, are there parts that are just as good that I can get for cheaper, but are safe and have decent reviews. So far the price, with shipping is $1,449.91.

Everything seems good, that motherboard seems good, Asus make good motherboard so I don't think you should have a problem.

Not a bad setup... Some though say the $100 for the 2600 vs 2500 isn't worth it.

I'd also look into an aftermarket cooler. The 2600k one is good, but it could be alot better.

Alright, thanks for the Info. Of course I'll be watching for deals on the parts here. Anything else that you guys suggest?

I would go for G.Skill memory over the Corsair Vengeance. I bought the corsair to start with and the heatspreaders are to tall , they interfere with a lot of heatsinks. Plus they are really cheaply made, their not a quality heatspreader like what comes on the Dominator's.

These are the same speed and latency as the corsairs for $74.99 plus it comes with a free 2GB thumbdrive

Naw, Iknow the SSD helps a lot, but I still have to buy a monitor, And I'm not willing to spend more after that.

Since I'm trying to knock a few bucks off for the monitor. Would this Hard Drive work, its 750 GB instead of 1 TB just because I know I won't even fill up the 750 GB. Same RPM and everything, I think just different latency.

Yeah, that'll definitely work. If you haven't changed from the 2600, change to the 2500, and save $100. You can overclock it, to be basically a 2600, even with the stock cooler, I believe they are the same coolers. You won't even notice a difference really from a 100mhz drop.

Thanks for the Info on that processor. Yeah, I was looking around and saw many people say to not spend the extra $100 for the 2600k.
