Default will this ram work?

I have 8 gigs of Kingston hyperx 2x4 ram, can I buy another 8 gigs of the same ram to make it 16?

Most likely if it's the same type (ie, ddr3/ddr3 not ddr3/ddr2) of RAM. What are your system specs, and what model RAM are we talking about?

The mobo is an ASus m5a88m and I have 8 gigs of corsair venegance 1600 ddr3
