Will this processor bottleneck an HD 4850?

It wouldn't bottleneck any thing less than a 4870, what do you mean by 4840 +?

You'll only notice a bottleneck if you are into 3D Mark scores. But in gaming you won't hardly notice bottleneck if you have a E5200 with a 4870. Shoot, I ran my 4200+ with a 4870 and got 30+ fps in Crysis.

They got to 4, a little more voltage then I am comfortable with but still.
Just grab a decent cpu cooler and you will be good.

The generally accepted view is that over 2.6ghz will not bottleneck a gpu however with rts games then you probablty want 3ghz+

well and the Pentium core 2 duo models tend to come with a lot less cache. I believe rts games like cache

Why are rts games so demanding with processor power? Is it simply because of all the units or is there something more? R they more cpu intensive than gpu intensive?
