No, I tried to mount a fan on the sidepanel and it defnitely wouldn't fit then, it was blocked by the HSF. How did you do yours? Here is a pic of mine:

Here is a attempted sideways shot to show you how it's less than 1/2 an inch from the sidepanel (when mounted):

I used a cooler master elite. Great little case, cheap and solid. Not big enough for an Ultra 120 though.
