Will my power supply be able to handle a gtx 260?

I noticed that the gtx 260 is similar in price to the hd 4850 but is much better. I know my psu can handle a 4850, but i'm not sure whether it can handle a gtx 260.

1 sata hard drive
1 basic sound card
2 gigs ram

I just ordered it anyway. I'm pretty sure my psu will be able to handle it. My processor and mobo don't use too much power, so we'll see.

My rule of thumb, always, always run too many watts. Underpowering can cause a whole host of issues. Its not that big of a deal to swap out something with some more juice...

Get it on that 18A rail......I ran one on an 18A rail previously, and it worked fine. Now I don't have to worry about it any more with a PC P&C!!

cheapest 260 is 199.99
4850 is 154.99

22.6% difference.

the gtx 260 is competing with the hd 4870 which is also @ 199.99

yes, I think you'll be fine running with the gtx 260
