Default Will my computer be able to play 1080p bluray?

Well as of right now my monitor's max resolution is 1280x1024 so I will have to buy a new one thats wide screen.

But my computer specs are:
CPU: 2.8 GHZ P4 HT
RAM: 2gb
Video: 512 mb 7600gs

Will that be enough to play the 1080p blueray movies?

no it isn't its full hd 720p you need a better monitor for 1080p. you should be able to handle it but wouldn't pick a side yet in the format war in case blu-ray loses. I would invest the money in a major computer upgrade rather then a single drive

I would change out the card for something with HD/blu ray decoding like the 8400GS or something
