hey guys, i have a Pentium 4 socket 775 cpu in my dell computer, and i am trying to transfer it into a different case. so i need a new and cheap mobo. i was looking at this one. will this work??
Newegg.com - Foxconn G31MV-K LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

plz let me know what you guys think.
i will be using the same hard drive, and 2x512 corsair DDR2 533 ram

those g31 motherboards do not have support for P4 cpu's. i dunno if you could even get a mobo for support for a P4 anymore. dw about the cooler, its prob not much better than the stock intel one anyway.

It has a Celeron D, which is a p4 with less cache, on the cpu support list so I would expect a p4 to work

A 945 chipset board will definitely support a p4 and should be fine if it won't be overclocked.

i really dont know, but since its socket 775, shouldnt it work?
i also like the one puddle jumper suggested but i read the reviews and alot of them were DoA, so i dont know what to do.

i am also in need of a powersupply.
i was thinking of
Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE ST400 400W ATX 12V 2.2 Power Supply - Power Supplies
or
Newegg.com - Rosewill RP550-2 550W ATX12V v2.01 Power Supply - Power Supplies
or
Newegg.com - FSP Group SAGA+ 400R 400W ATX12V Power Supply - Power Supplies

plz let me know.

i looked at biostar's G31, and they seem to support the Pentium 4's.
BIOSTAR

does that mean all G31 supports Pentium 4's??
