Will this graphics card work with my motherboard?

Hello, I'm currently building my first computer (with some help from a slightly more computer-savvy friend). I know nothing about computers, and don't want to but a video card that is incompatible with my motherboard that I already purchased.

My motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3 AMD 970/SB950 AM3 + FX ATX.

My friend told me I should make sure the slots are compatible (number, type, or something, again I'm totally ignorant about this stuff). Here are the specs:
