Well, by your opinions what is the minimal frame rate that is "playable" on?
Most computers i've used are pretty choppy on most games I play. So everything about this rig is new to me, quad-core...ddr2 RAM (Yes, i've been using DDR)...PCI-e

I'd say around 35 and up is playable. But with a game like Crysis, probably 40+.

It depends on the person though.

yup an 8800gt 512 will be perfect for that rez, u may not be able to playable play crysis on high but you will do ok.

strange, for me i found Crysis to be more playable at low FPS than any other game i've played (excluding Splinter Cell games as they are all about slow movement). i pretty much agree though. there are people who are manic and claim that they need 60FPS plus but i think they are well.....manic.
