Yea, but I'm sure SLI 7900GTs will be the best performance for their value if they're around $300 each. Thats like having 2 7800gtx 512's for $600.
Why do people keep saying the 7900GT performs like a 7800GTX512MB? It's not. It is just meant to replace the 7800GTX with a 90nm core and cheaper prices.

24 pipes
450MHz core
1300MHz memory

7800GTX 512MB
24 pipes
1800MHz memory

The whole 7900GT = 7800GTX 512MB and 7900GTX = 700+ MHz and 32 pipelines was just speculation, and they are false.

SLI 7900GTS is just going to be a little better then SLI 7800GTX 256MB, it should OC better as well.

Yes but since you can't really find the 7800GTX 512MB anymore, than it would seem to me that the 7900GT wouldn't be such a bad buy after all--if you really feel the need to go with GeForce.
