Why not do this?

Most people have been asking for someone to build them a new computer because of new games like Age of Conan, and Call Of Duty 4.

Why not just make a sticky that tells people what the best products to get now are? I mean.. everyone keeps recommending the Q6600 or the Q6700 and the 750i or the Asus Maximus and the 8800GTS 512 (g92)...

If I were building a new computer I would love to see an updated sticky like this..

Why should people have to ask.. lets just make a post that has a computer already build for them!

Couldn't there be a sticky or something that says like:


The current recommended parts for your new build are:


Graphics Card - Nvidia 8800GTS 512 (G92)

Processor - Intel Q6700 Quad Core

2-way SLI Motherboard - 750i FTW

3-way SLI Motherboard - 780i

etc...

I think that would be so convenient and helpful, and it would prevent people from having to ask the same questions over and over...

Also it would include a small summary about each product and why it is the best choice for the time being.

there is a sticky about new builds and hardware.
new people to the forum (with few exceptions) dont take the time to read it.
lol...i wouldn't recommend a q6700 anyway.

Its still like $280... and until it goes to the $266 range.. no recommending q6700's (BOYCOTT!!)

i would recommend e7200, e8400, or e8500 WAY before a kentsfield quad.

yes, it is. it will also likely overclock to like 4.5+ with little to no problem. smmmmmmmmmmmmmokin...
i think conan will benefit from the larger (double, actually) cache of the 84/8500.

Someone who is graphically talented should slap together a nice boilerplate image with the parts list on it and host it to imageshack or photobucket. that way we can just post the image when someone asks.
