Why is my 3Dmark06 getting only 4400?

Yup. Thing is, I wonder why he got the E6700 when he could have gotten the E6750. Looking at Newegg, the E6700 is about $80 more then the E6750. Why?

The e6700 has a higher multiplier than the e6750. So you can have a low FSB for the same speed. This means that you can go for more speed starting at a lower FSB for higher overclocking.

Oh wow, now I see the difference. 1066Mhz and 1333Mhz. So at 1066 with the same speed as the E6750, you'll get farther in overclocking!

An E6750 with 1066FSB would be at 2.13Ghz, or an E6420

I do not know how to do the calculations but I'm pretty sure with 1066MHz there is a way of finding the multiplier. Once you find the multiplier you times it with the FSB .. wait, I'm confusing myself. Someone help me with my math! :laughing:

The E6750's multiplier is 8........1333 / 4 = 333.....333 x 8 = 2.66GHz

rx712 is right about the E6750, if it had a 1066FSB, it would be at 2.13GHz like the E6420, which also has an 8 multiplier. 1066 / 4 = 266.....266 x 8 = 2.13GHz
