why is the difference in fps so great between the gt and the gtx?

I agree. Most people will tell you that there isn't that great of a diffence in the two cards. I suggest getting the GT since its a better value.

Yeah, plus its at 1024x768 and even the 7800GTX beats 2 7800GTXs in SLI in one of the benchmarks, so thats definately messed up. Never trust Tomshardware for benchmarks.

alright, you guys aren't the first to tell me that, and it doesn't make sense anyways. the way it's looking now i think i'll keep my gt and be happy with it. i'd say i'll have to upgrade sooner though.. how long do you think i'll be able to play games maxed before i have to turn down settings?
