Greetings,
next month or October I will buy whole new PC, I am so excited even now, so I wrote this post to ask you guys for help so I would have some brief info what's coming.
1) What do I have now?
MB: Asus M2N-E - nForce 570 Ultra
PROC: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
RAM: Kingston DIMM 2048MB DDR II 800MHz
GC: Sapphire HD 5770 (21163-10-20R) 1GB, PCI-E
PSU: Seasonic 500W
Case: Eurocase Q3
2) What do I want?
Completelly new computer. I will probably use only burner.
Or should I keep even the PSU? It's like one year old.
I do have monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers...
3) Reason?
I want to play games maxed out. For instance:
GTA IV, Battlefield 3, Dead Island, Crysis 2 and possibly some near future games.
4) Budget?
My budged is around $1400.
IMPORTANT thing you need to know is, I can go beyond the budget, so if you get some way better HW for a bit higher price, then shoot.
5) Conditions?
Run all mentioned games.
I'm not fan of ATI/nVidia or something like so.
6) Suggestion:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K + CoolerMaster Hyper 212+
MB: Asus P8P67 PRO (rev 3.1) - Intel P67
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Superclocked 1536MB, PCI-E
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600
HDD: WD Caviar Black - 1TB
PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX650 650W
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium CZ 64bit OEM
Case: CoolerMaster HAF 912 PLUS, black
7) System?
Another dilemma of mine is new OS. Should I go for Win7? What do you guys say? Is WinXP even able to use all that power?
Also, what's the difference between Win7 32bit and 64bit? Wich one should I go for?
Anyways I am pretty much ready to go for Win7.
8) Questions:
Isn't there something coming (like new technology) for what should I wait?
Is there any good reason getting 6 core processor? Isn't 4x better for games?
Sorry for sutch a long post, just wanted to let you know everything, so it's easier for you to help me.
Thanks a lot for further replies.
