so are you all just totaly against me geting a nice mobo for the p4 2.6 i think is HT, nice RAM, 7800gs, then i could get the extras i want like monitor, nice speakers.

yes i do live in america and i do go to tiger direct quite often

i can keep my dvd drive/cd drive / case (heavy but sturdy), and psu, so then i wont need to upgrade much

i was also thinkin about getting a nice cooler for the cpu and maby being able to overclock to 3.0ghx

Here's a list of Athlon 64s

AMD Athlon 64 (939)
SPEED INTERFACE BUS SPEED PRICE
64 3000+ / 1.80GHz Socket 939 2000MHz $109.99
64 3200+ / 2.00GHz Socket 939 2000MHz $153.99
64 3500+ / 2.20GHz Socket 939 2000MHz $219.99
64 3800+ / 2.40GHz Socket 939 2000MHz $299.99
64 3200+ / 2.00GHz Socket 939 2000MHz $139.99*
*Price after rebate

There's the list of socket 939 AMD Athlons, just pick one that suits your budget. If your budget allows I'd get at least the 3500, but that's just me. Hope this helps. Also if you get one of these you will need to get a new mobo.
