Default What's more important on a video card?

What's more important on a video card?

If you couldn't have it all would you go for high core speed or large memory or fast memory speed.

I'm thinking of getting a Asus GeForce EN8800 GT 1024MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail... its got a nice large memory but the core is only 600mhz and the memory speed is 1800mhz

what you think

thanks

The 1gb is useless as the memory interface is insufficient for addressing that amount of vram.

Just go for the standard 512mb 8800GT

Its all about balance. Best thing to do is just look up reviews that compare cards at the resolutions you use.

^^^

right, plus the RAM doesn't matter much, unless you go at high resolutions, but that 256bit Interface caps it
