Default What's the difference?

What's the difference between a mobile Pentium 4 Northwood 2800 mhz and a pentium m 1.8 ghz? In other words, which is better? It seems the Pentium 4 is better, whichh is the one im my pc.

completely different cores. The mobile 1.8 will thrash the 2.8 northwood in most tests i think. But the mobiles are built to run cool and at low voltage, put one in a desktop environment and put abit more juice through it and would be much much faster than 1.8.

Intel are basing their next generation of cpus on the mobile pentiums.
