What's the deal with DDR3 prices? DDR3 1866 for just over $100?

I must be missing something. I've been looking into benchmarks and reading up on DDR3 today. This confused me.

The next ones that are even closely priced to those are over a hundred dollars more.

Same timings and same speed.

I must be missing something here? 6GB of DDR3 1866MHZ for $115?!?!?!?!

Could most likely be different IC's used. You'll pay a premium for either handpicked or high binned Microns
