The AMD is definitely a power hog and the most you would probably ever get out of it is 1.5hrs. The Intel has less power consumption and it also turns off each core when it's not being used so that one would probably get closer to 3hrs.

Unless you're worried about Battery life, the Athlon 64 4000+ is definately a more powerful processor. The Core Duos are pretty cool too though.

supposedly the dothan's beat AMD clock for clock and correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the core duo 2 dothan cores? i would not go around with a fanboy attitude. i haven't jumped the fence from AMD to Intel but sometimes you just have to accept the truth. the Core Duo is better in this case. i would never bother playing a game on a laptop anyway.
