Default Whats the best IDE/SATA HDD enclosure?

Also, I noticed that some say" Support up to 500 GB" Whats that all about? I thought that was the hard drive, not the enclosure.

Newegg.com - iMicro IMBS35G-SI Aluminum 3.5" Silver USB 2.0 External Enclosure - External Enclosures

I was looking at this one, But it has horrible reviews so I don't know, thats why I am asking here for guidance.

My buddy recently bought a refurbished 700g or something, and it literally FRIED on him. He lost a LOT, mostly pictures.

Get one with a good ventilation system. If they aren't vented, all that heat just sits in there..

Something like this.. But I'd like to find you one w/ dual fans... One at each end..
Newegg.com - Thermaltake N0012US Aluminum & Plastic 3.5" Silver USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure - External Enclosures

Newegg.com - Rosewill RX-358-S BLK (Black) 3.5" SATA to USB & eSATA Ext. Enclosure w/Int.80mm fan - External Enclosures

Yeah, but I need one with IDE and sata.

So I was expecting spending 30 at max, now I am realizing I won't be able to do that now huh.

So can anyone give me feedback regarding the ones the can do 500gb and ones that can do 1tB? So they use different wiring I assume right?
