Default what would u recommend?

A x850XT Platinum edition or a 7800 gt/x?

if money is of no conern to you, actually i haven't really checked the prices of either but, i would definilty get the 7800gt, that is if it is only one of those cards. If i could pick any i would get a 6600gt and then wait to get the g80.

That all depends on your other components especailly the power supply. But like the previous poster said, if money is no limit then get the 7800GT.

The X850XT has a strong amount of pure power, but is being phased out by ATI's third generation cards. Also, it doesn't support SM3, which a lot of current games will be utilizing. If you want to stick with ATI, the X1800XL or X1800XT are good choice too.

If you want to stick with Nvidia you can go with the 7800GT or 7800GTX.
