some guy just told me it uses LGA 775, are they the same? So I was excitied it would work with my current motherboard. Whats the deal.

Chances are no, it will not work with your current mobo.

it has to be the lga 775 mother board but the older ones wont work... the motherboards that support conroe aren't out.. i mean some are but they are really really expensive

It's lga 775 but you need a certain chipset, for it work.
