what is PWM fan?

do i get PWM or analog does it make a difference?
i do plan to get a fan controller does that matter also?

PWM= Pulse Width Modulation. Basically it's a way to control a fan's speed.

It really depends on the fan, I do not really like PWM fans that much becuase some of the good ones tend to cost alot more than reg fans. Me personally I would go with a analog fan and a good high amp rated fan controller, just for compatibility's sake.
