Well for that board for the most powerfull go with a AMD X2 5200+ but they are VERY expensive. Yo ushould go with SKT 775 and go wit a C2D E6600

The way we can help you the most is if we have a budget.

But with a 200$ motherboard, it has to be high. And most people on here will recomment a socket 775 motherboard for the core 2 duos

Why don't we start with the your total Budget. And what components you need.

Intel core 2 duo is currently the way to go. I'll let someone else come up with a build for you.

Yes you definatly want to go with C2D, I just upgraded my AMD X2 system with a C2D E6400 and wow its way better.

I think my upgrade came to around $800 bucks, that was for:
ASUS P5B-Deluxe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131028
Intel C2D E6400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115004
2GB Corsair XMS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145034

That totals $720 bucks, and I also got a 150gb Raptor so a little over $900 bucks.

Well, we need more than the budget. For us to build the best bang for your buck computer, we need to know if you need a copy of windows with it, monitor, speakers and stuff like that?
