get the 8800gt or 9600gt. Your cpu is still good. You should be able to hit 3.5. You might not even need a quad at all. You should be able to sell your card for $50 for sure

wow...i had no idea that they dropped that far in price...well you would be lucky to get $50 even then...well if you sell them to someone that doesn't know computers to much ad doesn't shup from online stores you might be able to.

Yeah getting a new card would probably keep my system ready for the next gen games, but Q6600's are so sexy, lol

what do you do that you need that power? Your not going to notice a difference unless you render,encode or use some intense progs.

Pretty much all I do is play games (ex. Crysis, CoD4, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, etc.).

well a dual core right now will play those better then a quad but in the future games will utilize four cores.

That is true, but if i get the q6600, i would most definately OC to at least 3.3, if not farther. So even if games only use 2 cores, wouldnt i still gain performance?
