I'd love to hear what you like and don't like about this rig?

I'm not sure if there's anything not to like about that system... I would ask if you really want 12GB of RAM, because 6 is fine; but I think you're going all, all-out anyway. And 6 Terabytes? Really?

Oh. And if you're about to spend that much, get a nice Solid State to boot your OS's off of.

lots of hd's depending on what ur doing i dont really think u would need 6 tb for gaming.

id replace mb with this:
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TpowerX58 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

id also replace your psu with a corsair 750, maybe the new corsair 850 but its prolly unnecessary

get home professional, ultimate really doesnt have anything more to offer

replace the gtx 280's with a gtx295, its pretty much gtx 280 sli on one card. and its cheaper.

id replace cpu with the 920 and just overclock it.

also just get 6gb, that should be more then enough for what u doing.

I just ordered Vista Home Premium 64 about 10 minutes ago for $142.99 (In Canada, so around $110 USD). Might save you a bit of cash to downgrade.

over priced parts..probably won't use half of what you picked out. no use for floppy drives unless you really 100% NEED them. 12gb of ram is probably useless

With a budget like that you could probably get 2 GTX295s in SLI...but im not even sure you can do that. Anyone know yet? I know 4way SLI never really worked, so im not sure this would.

Anyway, that system is nice, if you want to take out a second mortgage on your house or something. Overkill for most, but if you have the cash why not.

Yeah, go with what Stalin said. I forgot about the 295, and if you go with a 920, you'll save enough to buy a dope water-cooling setup. That'll allow you to clock your 920 up to at least 4.0 Ghz.

Yeh the extreme is pretty pointless unless your really big into overclocking. The cash you save you can put toward...i dunno something more worthwhile.
