Didn't for me. Said I need to install Flash for internet explorer when I went to watch a trailer on Steam, so I did, and then it worked.

You can try Nitro Reader for your .pdf's I like it more than adobe reader
Nitro PDF Reader

There are separate downloads for 64 and 32 bit flavors
