We used to have a thread somewhere on this but time has buried it in the sands of yesterday.

What is your goto list of programs that you install on a newly built or reformatted rig? It does not matter if the apps are freeware or not.

I normally install:

  • Firefox
  • Windows 7 Codecs
  • Teamviewer
  • CCleaner Slim
  • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Pro)
  • MS Office
  • Quicktime
  • Flash player
  • Shockwave Player
  • Adobe reader (or Foxit Reader)
  • WinRAR
  • Revo Uninstaller
  • Security Essentials
  • Java

That's all I can think of right now...

BitTorrent, VLC, Steam, Skype, Rainmeter, ImgBurn, Chrome, CPUID, Fraps, WinRAR.

And for security, I got a 60 trial of WebRoot SecurityAnywhere Antivirus with the G75. I love it! Really low system resource usage, and it's working pretty well. It's leagues ahead of MSE, IMHO.
