What distinguishes a SLi-Ready PSU?

nothing in actuality...marketing in all likelihood. But basically it's just the connectors...having them either wired in or modular as opposed to you hooking up your own to the molex

so your power supply doesent have to be sli-ready to run sli cards in your system. i just wanted to clear that. i have a 500w ultra psu with only one 12v rail. but it has 38amps, will that be enough for sli?

ya, i have a 520 watt 38 amp psu with NO pci-e connetors and it ran 2 7900gt's in sli just fine
