Default What is the best processor for simple tasks?

I have Dell Dimension 1100 desktop computer that is seven years old. At some point Iíll be replacing the base unit with a new one and am considering which one would best fit my requirements.

I will mainly be using the computer to send / receive emails, surf the web, use Word Office software and stream movies.

Dell sells a base unit (Inspiron 570MT). In this regard there are various versions, each with a different AMD processor (AMD Semperon, AMD X2, and AMD X3). Each sells at a different price.

In terms of my requirements, balancing cost and quality, which one of these would be the best buy?

Or should I go for an Inspiron 620MT base unit with an Intel Pentium processor? If so, which particular processor would be the best buy?

Finally, how many GBs of memory should I buy?

For further information, please refer to the following website:

I would personally go with this one based on the options you have provided.
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

If they offered the AMD X4 with 4GB of RAM to reduce the price I'd say that one instead, but for everyday tasks I think the faster 1155 i3 would be the best bet.

The 13-21XX is better than an X4 in most situations.
