what is the 720p resolution in HD monitors?

is it differ from HDTV resolution or the same? if it's the same, then im screwed then, because i had my thought for a week or 2 about getting an HD monitor that supports 720p n play my games in HD quality.

HD monitors cost so much, but just to have one in 720p i think wouldnt cost too much, anyone know a good, cheap, 720p HD monitor i can hopefully get to play my PC games in HD quality in the future?

Monitors usually don't say HD because most of them are. only a few 15in monitors aren't technically "HD" but its all about the size/pixel ratio.
