Go with the ST3250410AS, not the ST3250310AS. 16MB cache, same price. More cache = better loading time because it can hold more ready to send.

Any ideas for opticals?

I want to burn cd and data.....and hey why not, DVD's
I would want a secondary optical....like a reg. dvd-rom/cd-rom??

Thanks for the help guys, I think this set up would suit my needs. I am going to start purchasing soon, part by part....until FRANKENSTE!N LIVES!

actually onboard isnt as bad as some say. unless your a pro at audio then you wouldnt be able to tell.

Onboard sound depends on the board. And a pricier board won't always have good sound. My cheapo amd socket A computer had great sound but my almost high end socket 939 does not.

Cool, any input is appreciated.

So with all of this, I should be pretty much up and running after I get me a copy of XP....right?

I may order the case in a few days. I have to fully decide if I am going to spend the money or not. Once that begins, piece by piece it will come together.
