WD external HD

my final decision is looking to be this HD, now i need to get the internets opinion as a final barrier before laying down the cash...
imma gamer/media hound.

I'd like eventually to have all my media (movies music) on this new external and my games on my current HD. Is this possible or is the work complicated to make it possible?
Does anyone know if playing a game installed on an external HD is worse/slower than normal?

Also, is there a better portibal HD out there for me which i may have missed?

You can get a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 16mb cache, and then get a cheap enclosure.

I don't think playing games off an external, is significantly slower though.

I have that hdd from Staples in 250gb, thats a real good deal considering i paid 130 for mine plus tax. I agree w/ b1gapl tho, get a nice drive that u like in particular and use an enclosure and its good.

Buy one from Fry's. I think they had a few, wanted to buy one but my dad said it was too expensive. Only $100.
