Default Water cooling?

In the future I plan to overclock my cpu. Right now, its running at 43C on air, will it be necessary to switch to liquid cooling when i overclock, and if so, what kind of system should i get?

Depends on how far you want to OC, if it's only a little like me, my run-of-the-mill HS is plenty - if you want to OC further, then you might want to invest in a good HS, lots of copper and a decent fan. If you want to OC really far (or if it just gets quite hot anyway), then you should consider watercooling.

First off, how much money do you have to spend?

Second, what processor are you using?

Finally, what case do you have?

If your going to do water cooling, you do it right, otherwise air cooling is the solution for you.

If you can push your budget to $200 you can do alot better. However your going to be cutting things close.

Recommended parts would include:

Note that this is about as cheap as I would go.

Petra's Tech Shop x10
Swiftech MCR-220 Radiator - Black x1
ClearFLEX 60 Tubing 1/2" ID / 3/4" OD x8
dB-1 Compact 12v Pump x1
XSPC Delta V3 CPU - Acetal x1
Enzotechnology 1/2" Fillcap - NPH-ID1/2-G14 x1
Dangerden FB (Fat Boy) G 1/4 Fittings - 1/2" Barb x2
1/2" T Line for 1/2" ID Tubing - Black x1
Petra's Tech Shop x1

Which totals about... 165 without shipping, tax, or fans.

For coolant use distilled water with 2 drops of PT-Nuke PHN

Any other questions, please IM me.
